What you will be doing!
Are you ready to step into a pivotal role at the forefront of technological advancement and national security? We’re seeking a skilled individual to join our team for an electrifying position, where you’ll play a crucial role in operating radar systems during integration and test events. With a Secret Clearance prerequisite and the flexibility to transition to other shifts in the future, this opportunity promises a thrilling journey ahead.
Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the safe and efficient operation of our radar systems, ensuring strict compliance with standard operating procedures. As the guardian of our systems, you’ll meticulously maintain run logs, documenting every aspect of integration and testing activities, run requests, and system configurations. Your sharp eye for detail will be vital as you identify anomalies and respond to real-time issues, ensuring seamless integration and testing processes.
In addition to your primary duties, you’ll also lend your expertise to troubleshooting and investigating software and hardware issues, serving as a valuable resource to our integrators and maintainers. Your role will extend to participating in system maintenance activities, providing essential support as an extra set of hands, and maintaining the tools necessary for smooth system operations. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for performing data transfers with precision and efficiency.
To excel in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate proficiency in key technical skills, including Linux/Unix command line navigation, file/folder manipulation, and light scripting, as well as introductory to intermediate knowledge of MATLAB. Your keen attention to detail, coupled with strong communication skills, will enable you to effectively brief leads and team members on observed issues and test shot notes. Moreover, your customer-facing demeanor will be invaluable as you represent our program in joint operations within a common workplace environment.
Ideal candidates will possess 2 years of experience in RF test operations, preferably with exposure to Raytheon sites or similar environments under the purview of the US Navy. While a 4-year degree in engineering is desirable, we also welcome applicants with 3-5+ years of relevant experience, particularly those with a background in ex-military programs such as SPY, Patriot, or THADD.
